The Hummus Wars

Today's Khaleej Times serves up another installment in the long-time rivalry between Israel and Lebanon over which country can prepare the largest plate of hummus, a Middle Eastern delicacy claimed by both countries as their 'national' dish. Since hummus has been prepared long before there ever was an Israel, or a Lebanon, for that matter, BobOnARoll remains neutral on the issue of native dishes.

However, Lebanon has just achieved a tactical victory with its completion of a 10 ton (!!) platter this past weekend.

Let's eat !
