Prelude to the storm

Mark & I took a walk thru Central Park after breakfast this morning and enjoyed the calm in the Park in the hours before the onset of this evening's forecast winter storm. Grey monochromatic skies overhead, the images of Midtown office and residential buildings to the south in diffused reflection from the thin ice layer covering Belvedere Lake. A steady but light and widely scattered stream of snowflakes just getting underway. A delicious 'I love NY' moment.

"The more I travel, across the gravel. The more I sail the seas. The more I become convinced of the fact, New York's the town for me....". (Cole Porter)

Yeah, baby.
