Lost

I'm lost. Are you lost?

This week, our leaders tell us they can pass health care with simple majority votes through a complicated maze of processes summed up under 'reconciliation'---a more ironic term for where we are right now I cannot imagine.

A few months ago, we couldn't pass health care because even though the Democrats had the so-called 60 vote filibuster-proof Senate, one or two or three senators held up the process until it was too late---and then there were 59. And we couldn't pass anything.

Then, we had an all-day seminar to bridge the differences, which no one expected could happen. After wasting our time with that futile exercise, we now have the votes to proceed.

Leaders? Or losers? I've made up my mind. Have you?
