Doctor's visit

Went for my annual physical today, including an HIV test. Test results later in the week but all systems go so far. If my mental and emotional states were as sound as my physical, I'd really be on to something....

Dr. E is a great guy, and I always enjoy seeing him (though, luckily, not too frequently). We talk about a lot of topics as he goes about his work, and I am grateful for the time and attention from him. One of those ol' fashioned get-to-know-the-patient types. Yes, these kinds of doctors really do exist.

Even doctors, in their roles as employers, are not immune from the insanity of rising health care costs. Dr E told me his employee premiums are going up 16 pct this year!
