En route to Osaka

Landed at Narita on a gorgeous late summer day, temps in the 70s and scattered clouds. Starting a 2 week trip here, first to Osaka, then on to Kobe and Hiroshima. Back to Tokyo next week.

Have arrived here at the tail end of a game-changing political campaign. Seems as though the party which has ruled Japan for over 50 years is about to be shown the door. Will be intriguing to see if the Japanese get the change that they believe in.

My dear friend Moh from Singapore joins me in Osaka tomorrow, and it will be great to see him again, since his last trip to NY in May for the ring....er, I mean, the end of the Ring Cycle.
