Bali High

Yep, everything you have ever heard about Bali is pretty much on target.  I am savoring the region around Ubud one meal one temple one shop at a time. It's magical. The people are beautiful warm and welcoming. Every doorway is a sculptural wonder of stone and brick and colored cloth. The fields of rice and palm outside the city center glow with a green I have seen nowhere else.

This island merits at least a month of slow steady exploration. Not enough days this time around.
