Honest Abe is not the only one turning over in his grave under the Illinois soil these days.  This Blogo story has toxic s-storm written all over it, and I’ll be amazed if we do not see a high level fall among Obama’s inner circle, too.  Political machines are built on bluster and relationships, and it is inconceivable that any influential Democrat in and around Cook County has conducted himself with such utter purity that he will remain completely above the fray.  I am confident about our man Barack sailing through this, but there will be scramble, tumble, and fall all around.  Such shame for the good people of Illinois that I grew up with and those I still do business with from time to time.  Ugh.
